Local Area

The village has great access to a number of walks and often, you can stumble across artists painting the local views which include the beck, the swans on the Brompton ponds, the ducks, free ranging hens and lambs. In Scarborough, there are a number of beaches for you to choose from. The popular South Bay is a sun trap and close to the hustle and bustle of the town centre. North Bay has been accredited with Blue Flag status meaning it’s one of the best beaches in Europe! Ideal for all weathers, there are lots of indoor attractions in Scarborough for the whole family. Head to Sea Life Sanctuary to see seals, penguins, sharks, turtles and more or Scarborough Castle to explore its 3000-year history. Head to the thriving town of Pickering and you’ll find plenty of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, pubs and bars so you won’t tire of things to do. Explore Pickering Castle which is packed with a rich history dating back to the 12th century.
